Call control user guide

Introduction

Welcome to Cirrus. This user guide is intended to give you the background knowledge you will need to successfully use Cirrus to manage your business telephone calls.

Cirrus is a software application which allows phone calls to be received, made and managed using your computer.

Because this is a technical manual, we have included a comprehensive glossary to the terminology used in this guide. We’ve called it the Jargon Buster 1. When you see a technical term (referenced with number to the right of the word), you can hover over it with your mouse to see a simple explanation of what it means. Try it now with the words "Jargon Buster" earlier in this paragraph. We have also given you a handy guide at the end of this manual.

Cirrus uses Voice over Internet Protocol or VoIP 2. for short, to let you use internet connectivity to make and recieve phone calls. This brings a great deal of flexibility, allowing you to have more control and information about the telephone call, as well as to be able to take calls from anywhere you have connectivity.

Use the menu on the left of this screen to find the topics and information you need. Thank you for choosing Cirrus

See the glossary of terms at the back of this document for all the jargon in easy terminology.
