Cirrus’s soft phone controls are simple and easy to use. The Phone Widget changes to suit the activity in progress and also displays useful information about the call. What is displayed will change depending on a number of factors. The following pages will guide you through making calls, answering calls, transferring calls and 3 way calls.
Cirrus allows you to assign Keyboard Shortcuts to perform phone actions. This allows you to do things like answer calls, dial numbers and bring your phone to the front screen on your computer with the simple click of a sequence of keyboard buttons. The button combinations are assignable, allowing you to choose which combinations of keys best suit your specific computer.
The 3 main functions are:
- Answer / Hang-up:
Using Ctrl + A (suggested) will automatically answer a ringing inbound call, or it will disconnect a live call.
- Dial From Screen:
Using Ctrl + D (suggested), will automatically dial any number you have highlighted within any application on your computer. It will format the number so that Cirrus will dial it. For example, if you were to highlight (0208) 555 1234 and press Ctrl + D, Cirrus will dial 02085551234 having removed the brackets.
- Bring to Front:
Using Ctrl + F (suggested) will bring Cirrus to the front of any other windows you have opened on your computer. This is useful if you want to quickly access your phone controls, for example if you want to place the call on hold.

There are several ways to dial a number, another operator or a contact using your Cirrus Phone.
